a Hair ear gold head on a 16’s nymph hook did the damage on a long tapered leader with a 2.5lb point, with a tiny piece of tungsten putty about 5 inches from the fly to get it down in the fast current this was cast over the visible fish and allowed to swing round placing the fly on its nose in a natural way.  I have found this to be very effective method on this river for covering long length of small fast river.

Even Nancy had a go today her casting is pretty good for a beginner.
